How we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

In short: We collect the details you send us through the enquiry form and, if you use the Client Portal, your account details (name, email, password) and session data. We do not run advertising trackers or sell your data. Contact accounts@hamiltonportfolio.com for any privacy request.
This website is operated by [HAMILTON PORTFOLIO LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("Hamilton Portfolio", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number [COMPANY NUMBER], with its registered office at [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS, UNITED KINGDOM]. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this site.
The contact form on our Enquire page opens your email client and sends your name, email address, and message directly to accounts@hamiltonportfolio.com. This data is not stored on our servers; it lives in our mailbox, subject to our normal email retention practices.
If you are an existing investor or partner with Client Portal access, you create an account with an access code we issue you. We process the access code, your full name (optional), your email address, and your password (stored only as a hash by our authentication provider, Supabase). Your browser keeps a session token so you stay signed in. Once signed in, we store your profile (name) and show you the documents we have uploaded for you; the document files and their titles and descriptions are held in Supabase storage and database tables. When you sign up, we also send you a verification email, and a password-reset email if you ask for one.
The Supabase project that holds this data is shared with other Hamilton websites. Each website's accounts and documents are tagged to that website and separated by access rules, so a Client Portal account here cannot see another site's documents.
When you tick the box to accept our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy at sign-up, we do not yet keep a separate record of that acceptance beyond your account creation date.
We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site. To display pages, your browser loads scripts from public content delivery networks (jsDelivr for the animation library on the public pages, and esm.sh for the Supabase library on Client Portal pages), which receive your IP address and browser details as part of the request. Our hosting provider may also keep standard server logs. This site uses system fonts and does not load web fonts from third parties. Information stored in your browser is described in our Cookie Policy. If we add analytics or advertising trackers, this policy and our Cookie Policy will be updated first, and the change will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract: our email provider (for enquiries), Supabase (for portal authentication, database and document storage), our hosting provider, and the content delivery networks named above. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Our service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on their standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards recognised under UK GDPR.
Enquiry emails are retained in line with our normal mailbox retention. Client Portal account data is retained for the life of the investor relationship and for a reasonable period afterward to meet record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email accounts@hamiltonportfolio.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe we have mishandled your data.
If you are contacting us from outside the UK/EEA, we apply the same rights on request regardless of where local law would otherwise require it.
If you are in South Africa, the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) gives you similar rights to access, correct, and delete your personal information and to object to its processing. We process it only for the purposes in section 3, and we may process it outside South Africa as described in section 5. Send any request to accounts@hamiltonportfolio.com. You may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
This site is intended for business and investment audiences. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We will post any changes to this page and update the date above. Material changes affecting Client Portal users will be communicated directly.
